Pull rates

These are the rates once a regular booster has been selected — about 99.95% of openings (published in-game values). The other 0.05% are god packs, which have their own rates; see below.

Card 6 (series B onward): From series B (Mega Rising) shinies were taken out of the first five cards. Instead there is a 5.238% chance of a sixth card being added after card 5: 3.571% for 1✸ and 1.666% for 2✸. This is also why shinies no longer show up in series B god packs.

Note: the game also has an 8.330% variant where the sixth card is a baby Pokémon. The card data has no way to tell which cards count as babies, so that part is not simulated here.

God pack (0.05%): Every pack has a 0.05% chance (about 1 in 2,000) of being a god pack, where all five cards are drawn with equal probability from that booster’s high-rarity pool. In series A boosters that pool includes shinies (1✸/2✸); from series B onward shinies no longer appear in god packs, leaving only 1★, 2★, 3★ and Crown.

Notes

This simulator is for fun and reference only; nothing here affects your in-game account. Cards of the same rarity are treated as equally likely. The real game may differ in undocumented details.
